Management Team

Mr. Jake Pyles joined Seismic Micro-Technology in August of 2007 as Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance, accounting, tax and treasury activities. In addition to these responsibilities, he manages the Human Resources and Legal areas for the company.

Before joining SMT, Mr. Pyles was senior vice president of Finance at McAfee Security which he joined in 2004. At McAfee, Mr. Pyles managed the company’s worldwide accounting, tax and operations functions. He also built the company’s first sales enablement and operations team.

Prior to McAfee, Mr. Pyles was vice president of Finance for Remedy Software where he led the acquisition and integration of the unit into BMC Software. From 1995 to 2002, he worked for BMC Software in various Finance and Corporate Planning roles. In addition, Mr. Pyles worked two years with Coopers & Lybrand in the Oil & Gas audit practice.

Mr. Pyles holds a BA in Business Administration and Accounting from Southern Methodist University and a MBA from the University of Texas. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas. Mr Pyles, his wife and daughter are residents of Houston.
