With millions of dollars riding on any given project, the key to success is being able to accurately quantify the risk. TKS - LogPAK from Seismic Micro-Technology provides interpreters with the sophisticated tools and expanded capabilities they need to evaluate even the most complex structural, stratigraphic and reservoir relationships with ease. That knowledge can then be readily shared with colleagues to determine whether an exploration and development investment could lead to a windfall—or fall short.

LogPAK is a quick-look log analysis application that combines intelligent defaults and statistical curve analysis to minimize required user input. Because it can simultaneously process many wells with varying log suites and perform iterative, single-well analysis, LogPAK provides geoscientists with the tools to rapidly perform a reconnaissance log analysis on many wells at a time.

LogPAK is zone-based and integrates seamlessly with TKS - EarthPAK zone calculations for mapping and volumetrics. Its integration with EarthPAK allows this analysis to be quickly used to identify targets for more in-depth study. All calculation parameters can be saved, edited, and recalled so that an analysis can be repeated and refined.

LogPAK only requires two parameter selections—Zone and Reservoir Lithology—but has the flexibility of 7 porosity models, 4 Gamma Ray models, and 15 water saturation models from which to choose. By examining curve statistics, LogPAK automatically determines many input parameters for the calculations. These parameters are easily accessible and can be refined where direct information is available.

Key Features

• Enhanced log aliasing introduces a large library of recognized logs. As you assign additional aliases they are added to the table for future use in any project.
• Crossplot Overlays are used as an indication of reservoir lithology. LogPAK provides overlays for Density/Neutron, Sonic/Neutron and Density/Pe. There’s also an interactive Pickett-Buckles crossplot for Rw and water cut estimation.
• Interactive Vshale displays for each well show the program-derived Clean and Shale baselines on the GR and SP curves. These baselines can be edited graphically or manually.
• Spreadsheets are available to enable bulk editing of a single parameter, such as Rw, for many wells at one time.
• Specialized Log Displays for quality checking input logs and interpreting calculated logs.
• Advanced curve editing utilities: Multi-well Normalization, Multi-well De-spiking, Automatic Depth Shifting and Nearest Value Blocking.
