The KINGDOM Software - EarthPAK

Integrated geological interpretation and field management functionality

Making better decisions with minimal risk starts with having a clear vision—from the field to the boardroom. With TKS – EarthPAK, geoscientists have the easy-to-use, interactive geological interpretation tools they need to see details more accurately and communicate them effectively. EarthPAK also simplifies field management to help make sure business goals and production realities stay eye-to-eye.

EarthPAK is a geological interpretation and field management tool that creates a very flexible platform for geological interpretation on any scale—from regional exploration to detailed development. It’s completely integrated with the TKS seismic interpretation and modeling yet can also function as an independent application.

Based on the user-friendly Windows® platform, EarthPAK base maps support industry standard cultural objects including shape files, Autocad DXF, Tobin and others along with geotiff images. Selective well data posting includes attribute and bubble maps, and wells can be highlighted using multiple colors and symbols.

EarthPAK supports structural and stratigraphic cross-section generation with one- click interactive correlation. EarthPAK also supports drag and drop correlation where log curves from a well can be dragged and correlated to another well. EarthPAK displays multiple log curves (including raster and composite logs), formation tops connected with multiple styles and zones highlighted by lithology pattern fills. Besides the standard tracks, additional user-defined tracks can be created interactively. Production test, formation tests, completion intervals and perforations can be displayed along the borehole depth axis. Geological cross-sections can be displayed in depth, time, or overlaid on seismic sections.

EarthPAK displays 2D and 3D crossplots for data types such as log curves, zone attributes, grids and seismic attributes. Using regression lines (polynomial or exponential) or hand-digitized lines, relationships can be established between different attributes.

Benefits

  • Reduces exploration and development risk
  • Facilitates drilling location decisions
  • Provides the interpreter necessary information to quantify reserves

Key Features

  • Create presentation-quality base maps, cross-sections, crossplots, and histograms for geological data
  • Import digital and raster logs, edit, assign to tracks, and display in cross-section mode
  • Grid data with enhanced algorithms such as natural neighbor, kriging, and co-located co-kriging
  • Define zones from depth, formation tops, grids, and horizons
  • Generate bubble and attribute maps from well information, zone attributes, log data, and production data
