EarthPAK®
Integrated geological interpretation and field management functionality
|
Making better decisions with minimal risk starts with having a clear vision of the prospect. KINGDOM's EarthPAK enables geoscientists to create presentation quality base maps, cross-sections, crossplots, and histograms using geological data. Details can be seen more clearly and accurately and communicated more effectively to help make more informed decisions. Field management is simplified to ensure that the business goals and production realities remain in sync.
EarthPAK creates a very flexible platform for geological interpretation on any scale—from regional exploration to detailed development. It’s completely integrated with 2d/3dPAK yet can also function as an independent application.
Based on the user-friendly Windows® platform, EarthPAK works on any scale, from regional exploration to detailed reservoir characterization.
Benefits
- Reduces exploration and development risk.
- Facilitates drilling location decisions.
- Provides the interpreter necessary information to quantify reserves.
Key Features
- Generate structural and stratigraphic cross-sections with one-click interactive correlation.
- Use drag and drop well log correlation within a cross-section.
- Import digital and raster logs; and create digital logs from raster logs.
- Create composite logs to add interpretive lithology and comments in the cross-section.
- Display log curves in structure/stratigraphic cross-sections with shading based on a constant cut-off value or based on a facies log curve or crossover shading.
- Display log signature map using multiple log curves with shading, within a specific depth range.
- Display raster logs in cross-section proportionally or within a specified track
- Grid data with enhanced algorithms such as Flex Grid, natural neighbor, kriging, and co-located co-kriging.
- Highlight wells using multiple colors and symbols.
- Calculate cumulative production using field, formation, and completion filters, and post using attribute and bubble maps.
- Control posting of well data by a scale-based level of detail (LOD) to increase the performance and avoid cluttering the Base Map.
- Define zones from depth, formation tops, grids, and horizons.
- Generate bubble and attribute maps with transparency from well information, zone attributes, log data, and production data.
- Accentuate the structure, isopach, reservoir properties, and other maps using color- filled contours.
- Import lithology patterns as bitmap files to augment the existing library of patterns.
- Support multiple fault segments in cross-sections, each with specific vertical separations.
- Analyze digital log curves with interactive log editing and log calculators including: log statistics, log normalization, and predefined or user-defined equations.
- Calculate zone thickness using measured log, true vertical, and true stratigraphic thickness.
- Display true vertical thickness for deviated boreholes in the cross-section.
- Apply aliasing of digital and raster log in a cross-section and other displays.
