The KINGDOM Software - SynPAK

Synthetic Seismogram Generator for the Windows® Environment.

A key task in working with seismic data is the ability to correlate and tie the seismic to the wells in the survey. TKS - SynPAK generates a 1D synthetic seismogram from a variety of well log data that can be correlated with any survey in a project. A variety of tools allow for calculating an accurate tie of your synthetic to the seismic data that dynamically displays in the vertical seismic display.

SynPAK is an easy-to-use, full-featured interactive and intuitive software package that streamlines the process of creating and manipulating synthetic seismograms. Synthetics are the most direct way to tie log curves to seismic data for better decision-making. The log provides information about rocks and fluids in the well. The synthetic correlates the log interval to the seismic data.

As part of SMT’s fully-integrated KINGDOM® family of products, SynPAK’s user friendly interface enables the interpreter to control display elements such as the time-depth chart, selection and order of tracks to be displayed (interval velocity, impedance, reflection series, well logs, wavelets, synthetics, and others), track widths, track colors, line widths and more. Display templates are saved and applied to other synthetics. Synthetics are imported or exported in SEG-Y or text formats. Synthetics display on vertical seismic sections and edits (shift, stretch/squeeze) in SynPAK are viewed dynamically on seismic sections.
